01 / Scope
Who handles information
Persidera Industries LLC is responsible for information we handle through our website, support and game services. You can reach us at support@persideraindustries.com.
Information comes from you, your device, your platform account and other players. It may stay on your device, be saved by a multiplayer host, or reach our services. Valve, Epic and other providers also handle information through their platforms. Each game’s section explains who receives what.
Playing a game does not give blanket consent to use your information. Privacy settings and platform permissions control specific features, as described below. Game agreements are on our separate Legal page.
02 / Website and support
Website and support
Page delivery and hosting
Our hosting and network providers receive your IP address, browser information and details of the pages you request. They use this information to deliver and protect the website. Access and security logs may record it.
Browser storage, cookies and third-party resources
The website saves your theme preference in your browser until you change it or clear the site’s storage. Our own website code does not set cookies or include analytics or advertising tools.
Pages load Google Fonts and embedded Steam store widgets. Google and Valve receive network and browser information when this content loads. Embedded services may use their own cookies or browser storage.
You can control cookies, storage and embedded content in your browser. Blocking content may stop the Steam widgets from loading. See Google Fonts privacy information and Valve’s Privacy Policy.
Contact links and information you send
Our contact links open your email application. We do not have a website contact form. When you send an email, we and our email provider receive your address, message and attachments.
We use this information to answer questions, investigate problems and handle requests. Send only what is needed. Do not send passwords or sign-in credentials. Logs and saves can contain other players’ information.
Social and community links lead to services with their own privacy policies.
03 / Game-specific practices
Undying Flame
Local progress and platform services
Undying Flame saves your progress, settings and run history on your device. It also keeps a short error log with technical details and gameplay context. Cloud saves can include that log when your platform version supports synchronization.
Your platform account is used for supported achievements, platform leaderboards, cloud saves and Steam activity status. The relevant provider’s policy applies: Valve, Google or Apple.
The game has no advertising or third-party analytics tools. Its diagnostic reporting is described below.
Persidera’s cross-platform leaderboard
We run a cross-platform leaderboard using Cloudflare. It receives your platform ID, display name, score, submission time and run details. These details include your progress, performance and equipment. We use platform authentication to verify submissions.
Leaderboard records are public. Other players and users of the leaderboard service can see player IDs, names, platforms, scores, run details and submission times.
We keep submission history and abuse records to check scores and protect fair play. We can also check Steam account status, including game or VAC bans.
Opening the Steam Friends leaderboard lets our service request friend IDs to filter the results. It can keep a copy for later requests. Steam does not return them when your friends list is private.
Diagnostics received by Persidera
The desktop game can send error reports to our Cloudflare service. Reports include error messages, technical details, game and system versions, and gameplay context. Warnings and failed leaderboard submissions can also trigger reports. We use them to investigate problems. They may contain identifiers and are not necessarily anonymous.
Cloudflare and our service process IP addresses. Our service uses them to limit excessive requests. It also stores a coded value derived from your IP address for abuse checks. This value can link reports and submissions, so it does not make them anonymous.
If Discord alerts are enabled for the service, Discord receives error summaries and basic game and system details. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy and Discord’s Privacy Policy.
Privacy settings and their limits
- “Submit to leaderboards”: turning this off stops submissions to our cross-platform leaderboard. It does not stop Steam or other platform rankings, account authentication, or requests made when you open the Friends leaderboard.
- “Send anonymous crash reports”: turning this off stops reports from the game screen, including warnings and leaderboard failures. The desktop application can still send reports about its own errors. Despite the setting’s name, reports may contain identifying information.
- Both settings start turned on. You can change them in Settings.
Retention and deletion
We keep leaderboard entries while our leaderboard service operates and delete them if it shuts down. We respond to requests for those records and remove requested entries within 30 days. Send your platform ID so we can find the record and verify your request. These commitments apply to our Undying Flame leaderboard.
Our policy is to clear stored IP-derived codes after 24 hours and diagnostic database reports after 90 days. These limits apply during scheduled database cleanup.
Those cleanup rules do not delete submission history, abuse records, provider logs, backups or Discord alert copies. Deleting a diagnostic database report does not automatically delete those separate records.
Settings → Clear Save Data clears local game saves and requests deletion of supported platform cloud saves. Cloud synchronization may restore another copy. Clearing saves also turns both privacy settings back on.
Clearing saves does not delete leaderboard entries, diagnostic reports or platform accounts. Uninstalling may leave local or cloud copies behind.
04 / Game-specific practices
A Needle In a Haystack
A Needle In a Haystack uses Steam application ID 4879470. Online features depend on your game version and platform. The descriptions below apply when those features are available.
Steam, Epic and account authentication
The game uses account IDs, display names and platform sign-in credentials to identify you. Versions using Epic Online Services can use Steam sign-in to create an Epic online-services identity. This can happen at startup, including for solo play.
Where offered, linking an Epic account for Epic friends is optional. This is separate from the startup sign-in. Epic Account Services permissions can include your basic profile, friends list and online activity. Review the permissions shown when linking.
Sign-in information is handled by the game and the relevant platform services. These sign-in paths do not send your credentials to a Persidera account server. See Valve’s Privacy Policy, Epic’s Privacy Policy and the EOS Trust Statement.
Friends, presence, invitations and multiplayer connections
Platform services provide friend IDs, names, avatars and activity status for the friends list and invitations. They also carry your activity status and information needed to join your game. The game keeps this friends information in memory during use.
Lobbies and sessions exchange player and host IDs, names, membership, game settings and connection details. Network services process IP addresses to connect players. Some connection details may also reach other players, depending on the connection method. Lobby information may be visible to players browsing available games.
One player’s computer hosts the game. It receives your player identity, actions and progress to run the session and save it. Other players can see your name, character appearance, shared gameplay, equipment and results.
Local settings and host-owned saves
Your device stores settings and local game files. Campaign saves belong to the host. They contain world and run information, player IDs and names, character customization, inventory and progression.
A host can keep your player record after you leave. Joining their campaign does not automatically add a copy to your own save list. The game’s save system does not send host saves to Persidera. We cannot remotely erase another player’s files.
The game prepares saves and platform progress for Steam Cloud. If cloud synchronization is enabled for your game version and account, Valve can receive complete saves. These can include other players’ IDs and names.
The in-game Delete action keeps a recovery copy. It does not permanently erase the save. Older saves and recovery files can remain on your device without an automatic expiry. A cloud deletion request can remove the active cloud save while leaving local recovery copies.
Deleting a save does not remove another host’s copy, Steam achievements or leaderboard records. It also does not cancel queued leaderboard submissions.
Achievements and Steam leaderboards
The host tracks achievement progress and sends it to each player. The game can then register unlocked achievements on that player’s platform account.
Eligible completed campaigns are submitted automatically to Steam rankings when Steam is available. Each eligible Steam player can upload the result on their own account. Failed submissions can be retried later. Versus runs are excluded. Rankings keep the best completion times by difficulty and party size, including solo runs.
Uploads include the completion time, run ID, difficulty, party size, host Steam ID and name, and participating players’ Steam IDs. Steam also links the upload to the submitting account.
Rankings can be viewed publicly or filtered by friends. Ranking details show the host and participant Steam IDs. These records are not anonymous.
Steam receives the uploads directly. There is no separate submission switch in the game, and solo play does not disable submissions. Valve controls platform privacy and record-removal options. Deleting your local save does not delete a Steam ranking.
Diagnostics, analytics, chat and microphone
The game keeps diagnostic logs on your device, including in release builds. They contain technical, performance and gameplay information. They may also contain player or session IDs and local file paths. Older sessions’ logs are not automatically deleted.
The game has no built-in automatic upload to a Persidera crash-report or analytics service. We receive logs, crash files or saves if you send them to support. Steam, Epic and your operating system have their own data handling and controls.
The game’s default settings disable microphone capture and in-game voice. Platform overlays and external chat apps have their own controls and policies.
Choices and retention
You choose whether to host or join multiplayer and whether to link Epic friends where offered. Platform controls let you manage linked apps, friends, activity sharing and cloud saves. These choices do not stop all platform sign-in requests.
Local settings, saves, recovery copies and logs remain until overwritten or removed. Queued scores remain until successfully uploaded or replaced by a faster result. Your locally recorded best times remain saved.
Other hosts control their own copies. Valve and Epic set retention for their platform records. Contact us for help identifying the right place to make a request. We cannot directly delete another player’s files or platform-controlled records.
05 / Choices and requests
Your choices and rights
Your rights depend on where you live and how your information is used. They may include access, correction, deletion, a portable copy, and the right to restrict or object to processing. If we rely on consent, you can withdraw it. Withdrawal does not change whether earlier processing was lawful. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority.
Email support@persideraindustries.com. Tell us which game or website is involved and what you are requesting. Include your platform ID when needed to find the record. We may need to verify that it belongs to you. Do not send passwords or sign-in credentials.
We handle requests for information we control. Contact another multiplayer host about their save files. For platform accounts, cloud saves, achievements or platform rankings, contact the provider. We can help identify the relevant records. We follow applicable response requirements. Undying Flame’s separate leaderboard commitment is described above.
06 / International processing
International processing
Persidera Industries LLC is based in the United States. Our providers and other players’ multiplayer hosts may handle information outside your country. Provider privacy policies explain their international processing. Contact us about transfers involving information we handle.
07 / Younger players
Children’s privacy
Undying Flame is not directed at children under 13 or the applicable local minimum age. Platform age requirements and parental controls apply to platform services. Online features can process a child’s account IDs and gameplay information if the child uses them.
Parents and guardians can contact support@persideraindustries.com about a child’s information. Identify the game and account involved. We will review the request and handle information we control as required by law. The platform or host must handle records they control.
08 / Policy updates
Changes to this policy
We will update this page and its date when our practices change. We will give notice and seek consent where the law requires it. For material changes affecting Undying Flame, we will show an in-game notice before the change takes effect.
